About Us
We opened our first store in 2006 and now have 26 self storage stores across the country.
Our customers include people moving home, people storing while doing building works or decluttering. We also have many business customers using us to store stock, documents and tools. You can read some of our customer’s stories here.

Sustainability
At Ready Steady Store, we are conscious of the impact that we have on our environment and we have made a long-term commitment to become a carbon negative self storage business.
As of August 2021, we are proud to say that we are carbon neutral. We have been able to achieve this through our investment in Verified Carbon Standard (VCS), Gold Standard Voluntary Emission Reductions (VER) and Certified Emission Reductions (CER) programmes. These range from reforestation programmes in South America to woodland management initiatives at home in the UK.
But we know that our responsibility to the planet does not end there and we must, and we will do more.
That’s why we have defined commitments to reducing our carbon emissions from every area of our business. We aim to reduce our carbon footprint by 50% by 2025, whilst continuing to invest in carbon offsetting programmes to ensure that we are playing our part to tackle the climate emergency.
