A Word from Our Winners
Tina Sheridan, our Northampton Store Manager, shared her thoughts on winning the ‘UK Manager of the Year Award,‘ stating, “It is truly inspiring to think that despite being told for 17 years that I was not cut out for management at my previous job, I am thrilled to have achieved this milestone, which is not only a significant professional accomplishment but a personal triumph as well. This award is not just for me but for my incredible Ready Steady Store team, whose dedication and hard work have made this possible.”
Our Doncaster Store Manager, Rebecca Donohoe, expressed their gratitude, saying, “We are incredibly proud that our store has won the UK Multi-Site Operator Store of the Year Award. A Snapshot of the SSA UK Awards
The Self Storage Association (SSA UK) is the principal trade association representing the interests of self storage operators and industry suppliers in the UK. Established in 1995, SSA UK promotes best practices. It facilitates the growth of one of the UK’s fastest-growing alternative asset-based industries. Over 80% of self-storage stores in the United Kingdom are members of SSA UK and numerous suppliers in the industry. The association boasts over 500 members, including storage operators and industry suppliers.
The SSA UK Awards is one of the most prestigious events in the self storage industry, honouring organisations and individuals making a significant impact. The awards acknowledge the hard work, achievements, and milestones of those contributing to the success of the self storage sector. Chosen from multiple entries across various categories, our Doncaster and Northampton stores stood out for their outstanding achievements and customer-focused approach.
The 2023 SSA UK Awards ceremony took place on 16th May 2023 at the UK Conference Centre in Birmingham. The event brought together passionate storage industry professionals to recognise and honour those who have significantly impacted the field.
As we celebrate our double victory at the SSA UK Awards 2023, our determination to provide world-class self storage solutions and exceptional customer service has grown stronger. We remain dedicated to making self storage a viable option for everyone in the United Kingdom, and we look forward to scaling even greater heights in the future.
