Autumn highlights in Nottingham

Nottingham is a vibrant city with lots going on for residents and visitors alike. And there is something for everyone in Nottingham, which is why it attracts a lot of tourists. If you like to wine and dine or you’re looking for a decent meal, Nottingham has lots of bars and restaurants. You can catch a show at the Nottingham Playhouse. Or see the latest blockbuster at the Showcase and relax and discuss the performance with friends for a pizza.

The Ready Steady Store team are big fans of Nottingham. And we’re always happy to pass on any recommendations to our customers. Here are some of our top tips for things to do and see in Nottingham this autumn.

Autumn events and festivals in Nottingham

The DH Lawrence Festival of Culture is still on until the 18 September, and it’s a must for all bookworms and DHL fans. You should also pay a visit to the DH Lawrence Birthplace Museum.

The Dinosaurs of China satellite exhibition is at Wollaton Park until Sunday the 29 October. A unique view of all dinosaurs big and small, definitely one for dinosaur enthusiasts of all ages.

Fancy a pint? The Robin Hood Beer and Cider Festival runs from the 11 – 14 October. Head over to Nottingham Castle to enjoy this CAMRA annual festival. A must for all connoisseurs of real ales and proper ciders.

Places to visit in Nottingham

Nottingham is steeped in historical events, and there is no better way to experience it than a guided tour. Our favourite ones are the guided cave tour of the Enchanted Well and the autumn Life in the Ice Age tour.

Why not take in the city on the tram? That’s right, Nottingham has an inner-city tram system, well-known for its cleanliness and friendly staff. Enjoy exploring the city and ditch the car, and get some great photos.

The Lost City Adventure Golf is fun for the whole family. This indoor 18-hole course is not your average miniature golf course. It’s set in a fantasy land where, statues talk, walls shake and crumble and you dodge snakes (not real ones).

Nottingham has some much to do it’s impossible to do justice in one blog. Why not visit our city to see for yourself? You’ll need more than one visit, that’s why so many people choose to relocate here.

Proud to call Nottingham our home

We’re proud to call Nottingham our home. We help hundreds of people and businesses with their storage needs every year, and we get many repeat customers. Part of any successful business is word of mouth referrals. And new customers often tell us a friend of family member told them about us. We now have a new referral scheme where you can get £50 off your storage bill or a £23 M&S voucher when you refer a friend. Your friend also receives a £25 M&S voucher!

If you’re thinking of moving to Nottingham, it’s likely you may need to move your possessions ahead of your big move. There are lots of reasons why we’re Nottingham’s favourite storage company. All our storage units have a drive-up facility as standard, making drop offs and collections much easier. You have 24/7 access to your storage unit and our facilities are CCTV monitored for security purposes.

The Ready Steady Store team is always happy to talk about Nottingham. If you’re a resident and you need storage, or you’re a visitor, feel free to contact us. And you’re thinking of relocating, feel free to contact us to discuss everything storage or Nottingham related.
