Local family run business TMA Workwear supply their customers with a range of high quality workwear, safety equipment and PPE – all from their showroom in our Doncaster self storage facility.
The Challenge
After working in retail for years, owner Claire set up TMA Workwear to focus on providing customers with high quality workwear to suit every need and budget. Their goal is to provide safe and wearable products that are built to last. However, with her experience, Claire understood that, in order to be able to properly sell their products, they needed to set up shop in an affordable place that allowed them to keep their vast range of stock secure while also being able to serve customers.
The Solution
For TMA Workwear, our Doncaster self storage units provided the perfect location for them to operate from. They first moved into a 125 sq ft unit in July 2020, but after realising that they needed more space, took advantage of our flexible storage offerings, upgrading to a 275 sq ft unit just a month later.
They use their Ready Steady Store unit both as a showroom and as a click and collect point for customers – which often results in an extra sale, as these online customers are able to browse the range in person. Similarly, as TMA Workwear also offer an embroidery service, being able to showcase their products means customers can come and look at what’s on offer and discuss what they need in more detail.
