COVID19 Update – Ready Steady Store

27th May

At Ready Steady Store the health and safety of our customers, staff and our communities are our main priority

Our stores are fully open, and we have introduced new measures to ensure that our staff and customers are safe.

We are observing social distancing across all our stores, we have installed floor marking and signage to make sure everyone is able to be 2 meters apart.

Only one person is allowed in a lift at a time, and we have closed the doors to our receptions. Our staff are on site and will be happy to help you by phone.

Our staff have been provided with appropriate PPE and should it be necessary for you to go into the reception area you will be required and requested to wear a mask.

Our cleaning regimes have been intensified with particular focus on the most commonly touched areas, and we have set up cleaning stations in our loading bays.

Remote no touch move in

We have introduced a new completely no touch move in process for new customers. Everything can be done online and the phone, and your unit will be waiting for you when you arrive.

If you have any questions please email us or call our customer services team (all working from home) on 0800 3213211.

At Ready Steady Store we will continue to monitor information from the Government, and to follow all guidelines to ensure we are doing everything we can to continue to provide a clean and safe environment for all of our valued customers and employees.

COVID19

Yes, our stores are open during the pandemic and you can still access your storage unit as usual. We have restricted access to our Reception Areas in line with social distancing policies, and would ask that you please respect those when visiting our stores.

Storage and distribution centres are not required to close under the latest Government guidelines . We are an integral part of the supply chain for many local businesses and a secure storage place for important goods and supplies for many of our customers.

We have business customers that store goods that are essential during the crisis. We have Charities that store items with us, that are needed more than ever. Other customers that have had to close their businesses are putting different things into their storage units during the lockdown.

We have made some units available at each store for COVID action or community groups free of charge.

At Ready Steady Store the health and safety of our customers, staff and our communities is our main priority. In line with Government guidelines we have reduced the number of staff on site at any one time, and have restricted access to our receptions so that social distancing guidelines are maintained.

Our store staff have increased the daily cleaning at our stores, in particular the most commonly touched areas.

In the majority of our stores access to the storage units is automated and via unique PIN codes allowing for unmanned access.

We also have the facility for new customers to move in without any direct contact with our staff. You can reserve a unit and complete all the move in information online, the store staff will then contact you to arrange a convenient move in time and arrange your access to your unit.

At Ready Steady Store we will continue to monitor information from the Government, and to follow all guidelines to ensure we are doing everything we can to continue to provide a clean and safe environment for all of our valued customers and employees.

We have been contacted by people looking for storage urgently due to changes in circumstances related to the lockdown. If you require storage during this time, and wish to minimise any contact, we can help with our Remote Move In service.
