What is included in the price quoted?

The price we quote is for the rental of the storage unit, and unlimited access to it between 8am and 6pm everyday.

You'll also need to have a padlock to secure your storage unit and insurance cover for your goods.

We don't include insurance in the price because you have the option to use your own insurance so long as the cover is equivalent to that provided by our insurance.  We do not accept third party insurance cover.

Insurance is priced according to the value of goods you need to cover.

If you are not paying by Direct Debit you will need to pay a deposit of four weeks rental.

Reserving a storage unit

Why should I reserve a storage unit?

Reserving a storage unit guarantees that the space you need will be available when you're ready to store. So it's perfect if you want to arrange your storage solution in advance.

If you reserve a storage unit you'll also be guaranteeing your quoted rental offer and rate for up to 60 days. Our quotes are only valid for 7 days before they expire and prices vary according to availability. It's a great way to know you'll be getting the best offer when you're ready to start storing.

You can come to the store without a storage reservation however, we won't be able to promise that we'll have space for you.

How can I reserve?

Reserving a storage unit is simple. There are three ways to reserve:

  • In-store during our reception opening hours Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5.30pm (Please note, our store receptions are closed on Sundays and bank holidays)
  • On the phone by calling 0800 321 3211 or 0161 727 8065
  • Online by getting a quote and then reserving

How much does it cost to reserve?

It's only £10 to reserve a storage unit and this amount is credited to your account when you store. We'll also refund this £10 if you no longer need storage, so there's no commitment.

Accepted payment methods for the reservation payment include:

  • In-store - Cash or credit/debit card
  • On the phone - Credit/debit card
  • Online - Credit/debit card or Paypal

What happens after I reserve?

Once you've reserved, you'll need to set up your storage account. This must be completed before you can have access to the building or your storage unit.

You'll need to do this during Reception opening hours which are Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5.30pm. (Please note, our store receptions are closed on Sundays and bank holidays).

When you arrive in-store, you will need:

  • Your form of photo ID – either a passport or full driving licence.
  • Proof of your address – a paper utility bill or bank statement from the last three months.
  • A letter from your insurance provider if you're planning to use your own cover. If you don't have cover, we can provide our own affordable cover in-store. Click here for more information.
  • Your bank details and a credit or debit card if you're setting up a direct debit.
  • A deposit of four week's rent plus your first four week's rent in advance. This can be paid by credit/debit card or cheque. Unfortunately we cannot accept cash for this initial payment. If you're paying by direct debit, the deposit only needs to be for the equivalent of two week's rent.

What is self storage?

Self storage is a do-it-yourself storage solution. It's your own tailored space away from your home or business that can be used to keep items safe. Costs are kept to a minimum by allowing customers to move their things into their unit during their own time.

Self storage has grown in popularity because:

  • It is often a useful solution to short-term storage needs
  • There are no long term commitments
  • It is flexible to change the size you need, according to how much you need to store

  • Smoke and fire detection equipment is also fitted throughout each of our buildings.
  • Even our staff don't have access to your unit whilst you store with us as you lock the unit usingyour own padlock and you keep the key.
  • For additional peace of mind, we can also offer individually alarmed units, which are activated when you leave the building.
