We believe in training and developing our people and every one of our team members has the opportunity to take part in structured learning, which is delivered in a variety of ways, including online learning modules, face to face coaching and workshop training sessions.


From the first day you start working with us, you will be given all the support you need to excel in your role. We offer a comprehensive and structured induction programme, which focuses on the specific accountabilities you will be responsible for.

You will also receive regular feedback and progress reports to get you off to the best possible start from day one.

Ongoing training and development

To help you give our customers the best possible service, we deliver dedicated customer service and sales training. You will also have the opportunity to take personal development modules, such as time management and communication skills to further develop your skills at work.

Through regular coaching and performance reviews with our line managers, you will be on a journey of continual development, helping you to be the best that you can be.

Progressing into management

There are plenty of opportunities to grow within your role and progress to become one of our Store Managers as Ready Steady Store continues to expand and grow.

We have a structured development programme to provide you with the skills, knowledge and experience to become a Store Manager.

The programme is delivered through face to face coaching, online courses, internal workshops and projects which include organisation and planning, commercial knowledge and people management.
