Lift Safety Video

Before using the on-site lift to gain access to the upper floor please ensure you have watched this safety video for the safe and proper use of the on-site lift. Please note that all children must be accompanied by an adult at all times when using the lift.

00:00 Okay, quick instructional video on how to use the Headingley lift.
00:03 If the lift is upstairs, just press this yellow button here to call it down.
00:07 The lift won't move unless all the doors are closed
00:09 so if someone's left the doors open upstairs,
00:11 y ou just need to pop up the fire escape and close the doors.
00:14 So to open the lift, need to open the first doors,
00:18 pull up the second,,
00:20 and if you just come in, just find the gap...
00:26 And then close the outer doors behind you first,
00:31 and then pull the lsiding doors down.
00:37 The lift controls are here. There's simply a down button, an up button,
00:42 and an emergency stop. Don't press the emergency stop. If it has been pressed,
00:45 you just twist it to the side to release. To move the lift up,
00:49 Press the up button.
00:58 The lift will stop at the top. Now, this door is a single door,
01:01 so just push the top and then just put your foot on the bottom, just to ensure it's flat
01:08 Let yourself out,
01:12 and then if you just close the door behind you so somebody else downstairs can
01:17 use the lift.
01:21 And that's it.
