Unit Entry & Locking

If your storage unit starts with the letter A, B, C, D or F watch this short instructional video for accessing, opening, closing, and locking your unit door.

The site operates roller shutter door access to units. Access to your unit is via a site Pincode and this must have been activated to access the site and your unit before attempting to open the unit door. Your Pincode will release an internal unit lock, then you open the door latch, and will find your unit’s keyed barrel lock awaiting inside.

00:02 barrel or cylinder lock units at the Ring Road site.
00:05 So once you come to site and put your pin code in,
00:07 this will release a secondary lock on the door,
00:10 and we should simply get able to slide the bolt across and pull the door.
00:15 Inside the unit you will find a cylinder lock;
00:19 it's got three keys and a cylinder.
00:22 You simply put it inside the lock and twist to open it,
00:26 so it needs to be flush when it's open and when it's locked,
00:31 it's as such. To lock the unit,
00:35 simply close the door, slide the lock across,
00:40 and then when it's unlocked, it should slide in. And that's the door locked with the keys.
