You can allow another person to share access to your Ready Steady Store unit, but only if they are authorised on your storage account.

The main account holder remains responsible for the unit and its contents. You may nominate an additional person to be added to your account, so they can access the unit.

For security reasons, we cannot give access to anyone who is not listed on the account.

No. Your storage unit is private and secure.

If you use a traditional padlock, only you hold the key, and our staff do not keep copies on-site.

If you use our ONE Lock system, only you and a limited number of authorised managers can access your unit. This is strictly for emergencies or situations such as non-payment, as outlined in our Terms & Conditions. The ONE Lock system also provides full accountability, with a digital record of every access.

If there’s an emergency at your Ready Steady Store Uxbridge unit, follow these steps:

1. Contact emergency services
   Call 999 immediately for the Police, Fire Service, or Ambulance if needed.
2. In case of fire
   Activate the alarm by breaking the glass on one of the fire alarm points located within the storage area.
   Promptly exit the building promptly and head to the assembly point located at the front of the store, by the main gate signage.
3. Site access for emergency vehicles
   Our sites are designed to ensure full access for emergency vehicles.
